Light only where it is needed…

Space planning is a crucial part of design be it for commercial, retail or residential spaces. In general, every space has its own function and design. As such, the same should always be applied when it comes to the planning of lights.

This approach has become even more relevant in the recent years due to the pandemic. As companies gradually adapt to work from home arrangements, work settings have almost certainly become part of a requirement for many homeowners where specific areas would have dual purpose: one that would be meant for work while another would be more relaxed.

These further needs have allowed Palicon to experiment with different layouts, brands and products to be able to provide the best solution for various configurations.

Renders and simulations…

“A picture is worth a thousand words”, at Palicon, we also believe in this phrase.

Sometimes, it is difficult for customers to visualise the whole space, other times the most common question asked is always “is it bright enough?”

While the question of brightness is subjective to every individual, simulations/renders can show end users the lighting levels and coverage with the selected lights. This will not only provide the clients with an assurance but also a better understanding of the overall space.

Palicon has collaborated with Consultants, Architects and Designers on numerous occasions by combining their 3D models with lighting simulations. The overall effect is an even more realistic lighting simulation that often leaves a lasting impression

Technical and Project Management

Apart from design generation, the next crucial part of every project would be the technical specifications and implementation. With today’s technological advancement, home automation has allowed users to gain control of almost every aspect of their space. This also includes the use of lights.

Together with her sister company Ultigration, Palicon conducts tests to ensure the compatibility and dimming of the lights will be smooth regardless of the protocol provided by the system integrator (SI)。

Apart from working with the SI, Palicon also provides site support to the contractors. It is crucial for installers to understand how the fixtures are properly installed and set out to achieve the desired light effect.
